Question 2: Does my media represent particular social group

This shot is very iconic because it's been used in many films, you get sense of something bad is about to go down and the person that is stalking tends to be the villain.  Also the fact that his whole body is not showing brings the thought that he may having something to hide, even the disappearance of him when the camera returns. The movie that I got the inspiration from was 'Scream 3'

An aspect from mis en scene that was shown here was the lighting, the lighting and shade  was useful because half of the his face is darker than the other, like Scream. This helps the depth of the suspension build up more. I think the only difference between these two is the fact that he ask a mask it makes it more frightful.

Question 1: Does your media product use, develop or challenge froms and conventions for real media products?

I wil be comparing 9 shots from a title sequence that i've viewed on www.artofthetitle.com with 9 shot's from my group.

Evaluaion Question Three : Who would be my target audience for my media product ?

My Target audience would be a group of teenagers aged 16-19 they would be from different ethnic backgrounds. The female in my target audience would be interested in the fashion and listen to music by artists like Rihanna, Chipmunk and Trey Songz. The males of my target audience would be interested in Football and listen to music by Skepta,Giggs and Rhianna .Both of the genders in my target audience would like to drink and go raving,However they would dislike gang violence .Moreover majority of my audience would have a blackberry smart phone and Ipod. They would enjoy socializing and spending a lot of time with friends they go to college and study a levels or be in their first year of university.

Question 6: Audience feedback and comment

Instead of us writing long paragraphs on the feedback our teacher gave us a website called 'Wordle' so we can just add in the key words. I know your thinking the bigger the size of the word the more people said the same thing but that's just due to the order we put it in. Lighting was a main one though because when we filmed in the basement you could hardly see faces, it just looked like a shadow. Don't get me wrong these are not all feedbacks on what was wrong with it but also what was good about it, like the the word tension, suspense has been said. I think that the reason why the tension was done well is because of the soundtrack that went with it.

Q3 - Who would be the audience for your media product?

Our film is targeted at people aged 12 or above.
The image above shows the age restrictions for films. The reason our movie is 12+ is because some scenes might be unsuitable and threatening for young children to watch.

I would imagine that one of our viewers could be a female teenager.
I've chosen a female to be my main audience because I believe that the film is more about the torture of a girl. Selena, 17, a college student. She could be studying Film Studies. She likes to shop and her hobbies are to dance and playing the guitar.

On the other hand, this could also be an enjoyable movie to some male audience as well. I would imagine mainly to men aged 16-27.

Chris is 19 year old singer. He would enjoy this movie because he likes movies that look realistic and I think that he would also enjoy the soundtracks.

Q6: Audience feedback and comments - 2

This is the audience feedback we've recieved which we've edited on 'wordle':
As you can see, the audence have mainly commented on the lighting which was very dim. The mistake we had made while filming our thriller opening was that we didn't enough light as most of our scenes are shot in the basement and the lower ground floor corridor.
Most of the audence agreed that our sound was good, however there was one viewer that said it would have been better to use less complicated sounds as it distracts them from the movie itself.

Q6 Audience feedback and Comment - 1

In our last lesson with Bernard, we started our evaluations for our Final Cut. We started of with Question6 with was to find out the audiences reaction towards our film and get some feedback from the other students in class. Bernard shows us a more creative way of showing the feedback our blog by using the website (www.wordle.net). So I've experimented a bit on this website and wrote down all of the feedback we've recieved from our class...

Unfortunately as I'm doing my blogging at home now, I'm unable to use the wordle website. But my plan is to post the feedback comments on my blog as soon as i get to college tomorrow morning!
